Maria & Jimmy in Maryland

In 2006, I shot the wedding of a friend of Maria’s and Maria made some very nice comments on my blog suggesting that maybe one day I’d shoot her wedding in Baltimore…my reply was “Okay Maria… mark my words! I’m GOING TO shoot your wedding in Baltimore. Just you watch.”

Fast forward 2 years and I found myself in the Baltimore area amid Maria and Jimmy’s wonderful family and friends who came together to celebrate the marriage that Maria could only dream about 2 years ago.

They got married in the chapel of the Catholic school where Maria attended growing up. She commented how the echoing stairwell sounds of the feet of dozens of little girls trotting down the beaten wooded stairs is indelibly imprinted into her memory. I got to hear those sounds!

The reception was held at The Mansion near her parents home and the day wrapped up back at the parent’s estate with swimming, grilling and playing wiffle ball. It was an evening of family getting to know their “new” family and old friends getting reacquainted.

Congratulations to you both!

    Dear Maria and Jimmy,
Wow! What an incredible “photo essay” of your wedding. I almost feel as if I was there! Of course, seeing your mom 2 weeks ago and getting the details in person helped too. Let me know if you’re ever in Phoenix. It’s hard to believe that my “feminine geniuis” is married!!
    You are a gift,
    Katrina Zeno

Ben, I cannot thank you enough for such an exquisite job. You are an artist extroidenare. I am sorry that I did not get a chance to know you personally, being occupied with hostess duties, but you also melted into the background with such ease I sometimes forgot you were even there. I guess that is how you were able to achieve such candid, emotionally charged shots. Well done! Now I know why the only thing my daughter was insistent upon for her wedding was that you be there. She was right. Thank you from al of us in the Pfau Pfamily, and looking forward to perhaps finding another excuse to have you visit Maryland. Our home is always open to you and yours. Blessings, Mary Therese
